iphone not charging even after battery and charging port replacement

What do you thing could be wrong with your iPhone not charging even after battery and charging port replacement the next component in the line is charging ic which also known as u2 charging ic or tristar  charging ic part number 1610a2. Replacing charging ic is very skilled job. This is one of the smaller ic / part on iPhone logic board. Other than iPhone not charging even after battery and charging port replacement are also fake charging where iPhone will show different percentage of iPhone charged and dropped quickly within minutes and iPhone will turns off. One of other faulty iPhone u2 charging ic is very slow charging and then battery drains quickly.

We have seen unskilled technicians try to heat u2 ic thinking this might fix the problem but this will make it even worse. iPhone u2 charging ic is underfill ic so don’t try to heat it as the solder joints / balls on underfill ic with heat will explode and will damage the lines. See in the above picture we have taking the iPhone charging ic and clean the surface area and the pads on the logic board are exposed and shinny and ready to take new charging ic.
If you are bit familiar with ic replacement on iPhones specially one of the tiniest on iPhone logic board like this u2 ic you will appreciate the high level of skilled work you see in the above picture. No mess around the work and a clean pull and board is ready to adapt new ic.
if you have same problem on your iPhone 6 6 plus 6s 6s plus 7 or 7 plus and you have already replaced battery and charging port but it didn't worked end your device to us find instructions here to send your device. or bring it to applefix hamilton at 85/a victoria street hamilton or call 078394188 for a free quote or send your query or read further here http://www.applefix.co.nz/blog/iphone-not-charging-even-after-battery-and-charging-port-replacement/

iphone 7 and 7 plus home button repair solution

It is not a good news for DIY repairers or in general common repair shops that iphone 7 and 7 plus home button repair solution is not available to them. Back in 2013 when the iphone 5s was released with touch id and on later models of iphone upto 6s if the home button is damaged you can still replace the home button only the touch id will not work but taking back to menu or home still works normally. But on iphone 7 and 7 plus if original home button is damaged or goes unresponsive during lcd replacement it will not work at all. That means no touch id or no click or going back to previous menu. The iphone repair shops technicians those were used to replace home button just clipping in new one are out of this repair now. The reason behind iphone 7 and 7 plus home button not replaceable with another one because it has a software lock where the U10 ic on the home button itself which communicate to processor or apple server. Read some question and answers here

why iphone 7 and 7 plus home button does not work after screen replacement?

So far we have find two types or faults on iphone 7 home button stops working after screen replacement. Number one is the damage on the bent part of the cable by connectors. See in the below picture

Second type of repair which we have done successfully is replacing U10 ic on the home button assembly. The way back communication to the processor or logic board from iphone 7 and 7 plus home button is controlled by u10 ic which is mounted on the home button assembly. This ic is not easy to replace as it is mounted on to the flex cable not on hard pcb. To remove u10 ic from home button we use a special tool see below picture.

Even though we wrote a blog few months ago on the same iphoe6s backlight problem but some of the iphone 6s we received the technicians tried to replace the same fuse which we have shown in our previous blog. Which was fl4221  some of the technicians made it worse than a normal repair by pulling the pads. Just to aware technicians out iphone 6s back light has around 10 filter or fuse and they all located at different places. For example see the picture below another iphone 6s which was not fl4212 but fl4221 which is 120 OHM 210MA.
