Before taking out broken lcd turn off iPhone completely if possible. The first thing you will be doing is disconnect the battery connectors. Diagnosing the whole circuit to find where the fault is requires schematic diagram reading ability and how to test the components on the board or circuit. we usually start with locating the filter or fuse. As filter is first component on the line to blow to save whole circuit to blow. There are around 8 filters on backlight circuit on iPhone 6. We quickly find out one of the fuse is is missing. May be the technician snipped it off.
