Before taking out broken lcd turn off iPhone completely if possible. The first thing you will be doing is disconnect the battery connectors. But sometimes the technicians even after replacing lot of iPhone lcd can end up having no display and they could not figure out what went wrong and how to get display again. We recieved iPhone 6 from another repair shop which they had no idea why there is no display after replacing the lcd. iPhone 6 backlight circuit consists of capacitors, resistors, diode, filters and backlight ic. Diagnosing the whole circuit to find where the fault is requires schematic diagram reading ability and how to test the components on the board or circuit. we usually start with locating the filter or fuse. As filter is first component on the line to blow to save whole circuit to blow. There are around 8 filters on backlight circuit on iPhone 6. We quickly find out one of the fuse is is missing. May be the technician snipped it off.
